Day 3: Delhi to Agra to Varanasi
Move on for Agra by road. In the afternoon, you will take a sightseeing tour of Agra, the city of Taj Mahal. You will see Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-daulah Fort and more. In the evening, you will leave Agra for Varanasi by train.
Day 4: Varanasi to Sarnath
Early in the morning, you will reach Varanasi. On arrival, you will check in at the hotel. Get refresh to have a visit to Sarnath. Sarnath is a pious place where Buddha taught his first Sermon in 590 BC. In the afternoon, you will take a sightseeing tour of Varanasi. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Varanasi to Bodhgaya
Early in the morning, you will take a boat ride on the River Ganges. Then you will leave Varanasi by road for Bodhgaya. Here Lord Buddha gained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. It is one of the holiest sites for the Buddhist pilgrims in the state of Bihar. You will also make a visit to the Satabodhi Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Bodhgaya
In the morning, you will visit temples in Bodhgaya. In the afternoon, you will have your time at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Bodhgaya to Rajgir to Nalanda to Patna
Leave Bodhgaya to reach Patna. On route, you will visit Rajgir and Nalanda. Patna, the capital city of Bihar, is a 2500 year old capital city of Bihar. Rajgir is an erstwhile city that was once the capital of Magadha Empire of 6th century. It was a revered site for the discourses of Buddha. Nalanda is considered as the world's ancient university founded in the 5th century. Stay overnight at hotel in Patna.
Day 8: Patna to Vaishali to Kushinagar
In the morning, you will leave Patna to reach Kushinagar. On route you will visit Vaishali, a city located 60 kms from Patna. It is of particular religious significance for Buddhist devotees. Kushinagar is where Buddha passed in Maha-Parinirvana and became revered forever. In the afternoon, you will visit Kushinagar through various stupas and temples. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Kushinagar to Lumbini to Balrampur
You will leave for Kushinagar by road for Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha which is located near Nepal. You will take a sightseeing tour of Lumbini and then leave for Balrampur by road. On arrival, you will get transferred to hotel and stay overnight.
