Central India Tour

Destinations: Delhi - Varanasi - Agra - Khajuraho - Gwalior - Ujjain - Bhopal -Mumbai

Day 1: Delhi
On the first day of your tour itinerary, you will reach Delhi, the capital city of India. You will be received and transferred to your hotel on arrival. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi
In the morning, you will take a city tour of Delhi. You will see all the best tourist destinations that will take you to Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate: the martyrs memorial, Parliament House, Humanyu's Tomb and more. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a city tour of Old Delhi that will take you to Jama Masjid mosque, Red Fort, and Gandhi Memorial. You will enjoy a Sound and Light show at the Red Fort. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi to Varanasi
In the morning, you will get transferred to the airport to board a flight to Varanasi. Varanasi is the most peaceful and spiritual pilgrimage destination, mostly visited by the Hindus. Reach Varanasi and get transferred to the hotel. Afternoon is the time to take a tour of Varanasi city. Take a brief excursion to Sarnath, an interesting Buddhist town. It is one of the most revered places for the Buddhists as after enlightenment Lord Buddha preached His first sermon here. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Varanasi to Agra
At the time of dawn, you will take a boat ride at the mighty River Ganges. It will be the most soothing, spiritual and memorable experience for you. Next you will take the tour of the city that will take you to Alamgir Mosque, Benares Hindu University, Beni Madhav Ka Darera, Dasaswamedha Ghat and Bharat Mata Temple. After that you will move to the airport to board a flight to Agra. Reach here and get transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit Red Fort, the ancient huge red monument made by the Mughals, Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah: a look alike and antecedent of the Taj Mahal. Next, you will take an excursion to Fatehpur Sikri, the most visited destination located near Agra. It is a deserted city of Mughal dynasty that it still holds its splendor and offers you marvelous sights of forts, havelis and monuments. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Agra to Khajuraho
Early in the morning, you will visit Taj Mahal, the beautiful epitome made in beautiful white marble. It is the most extravagant monument ever built in the world for love. It was made by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his deceased wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Get a transfer to airport to take a flight to Khajuraho. Reach Khajuraho and get a transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, you will take a city tour that will take you to the Western and Eastern group of Temples. The Khajuraho temples are the most erotic temples made in the world. They were made during the 9th century by the Chandela kings. Originally, there were 80 temples in Khajuraho out of which only 22 are left. The Khajuraho temples are the World Heritage Site and a unique gift to the world. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Khajuraho to Orchha to Gwalior
In the morning, you will leave for Orchha. Orchha is a remarkable ancient destination, a medieval legacy made in stone. You will visit Jehangir Mahal, the strong seamed palace balanced by the flimsy chhatris and lattice work. Raj Mahal is another best landmark of Orchha that gives way to the interiors with superb murals. Ram Raja Temple is another most exquisite monument here. Visit the Chaturbhuj Temple, built on a huge stone platform. Later you will take a drive to Gwalior. Reach Gwalior and check in the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Gwalior to Shivpuri
Gwalior is a popular and erstwhile city of Madhya Pradesh ruled anciently by the royal kings. Take a visit to the royal and magnificent Gwalior Fort. Gwalior Fort is a complex collection of marvelous palaces that include-Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir, Suraj Kund etc. you will also visit the Tansen and Ghias Mohammed tombs and Jai Vilas Palace. This museum is the main attraction of the palace and the recently made Sun temple. Later, you will take a drive to Shivpuri. Reach at time of dinner and enjoy the sumptuous food. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Shivpuri
Your day will begin with a visit to graceful chhatris or cenotaphs of the city of Shivpuri. Bhadaiya Kund is a scenic spot, a visit to where will make your day memorable. Have your lunch, you will take rest. Later, you will make a refreshing visit to Madhav National Park. The sanctuary is not less than a dream come true mainly for the wildlife enthusiasts. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Shivpuri to Ujjain
You will leave for Ujjain after having your breakfast and carrying some packed lunch along with you. Reach here and upon arrival check in the hotel to spend your whole night here.

Day 10: Ujjain
Ujjain is the pilgrimage city of Madhya Pradesh in Central India. Have your breakfast and take a sightseeing tour of the major attractions of the city. Pay your homages at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, Lord Shiva temple and one of the 12 Jyotirlingams of India. Visit Bada Ganeshji Ka Mandir, which is in fact the biggest ornate statue of Ganesha here. The Kaliadeh Palace is another attractive destination located by the sacred River Shipra that runs through the city of temples. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Ujjain to Mandu
You will leave for Indore after breakfast and make a visit to the Kanch Mandir, a unique Jain Temple. Though it looks quite plain as you enter from outside but as you step in some more, you find a completely different world. The temple is mirrored with the pictures of sinners that are tortured in after life. The Museum holds one of the best medieval and pre-medieval Hindu sculptures in Madhya Pradesh. Have your lunch and carry on to Mandu. You will reach here in time and enjoy a relaxing evening. Have an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Mandu
Mandu is an erstwhile city, full of fables of love and glory. Baz Bahadur and beautiful princess Roopmati are the famous characters of the land whose romancing tales still echo here. In Mandu, you will visit the remarkable palaces and pavilions, such as palace of gold coins Asharfi Mahal, Rewa Kund and swinging palace, called Hindola Mahal. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Mandu to Bhopal
Post breakfast, you will leave for Bhopal. On the route, you will have your lunch at Indore. Reach on time by the evening, for tea at Bhopal. Bhopal is an exciting capital city of Madhya Pradesh. The city is peaceful, lush and charming. The evening is the time for shopping and enjoying one self amidst the beauty of the place with setting sun. Relax and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Bhopal to Sanchi to Bhopal
Have your breakfast and leave for Sanchi, the ancient destination of Buddhist learning. The attractions of Sanchi, the ancient destination are the Archeological Museum, Ashoka Pillar, Yakshi hanging from the Mango tree, beautiful Buddha figure in the red sandstone. The Great Stupa is indeed the best work of art and treasured monument Buddhist art in India. You will come back to Bhopal and spend time in this fascinating city. In Bhopal, you will visit Taj-ul-Masjid mosques, the largest in India, Laxmi Narayan Temple, located in beautiful surroundings and Birla Museum. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Bhopal to Panchmarhi
Have your breakfast and leave for Panchmari. On the route, you will visit a beautiful natural site, Bhimbetka. It is the ancient destination that still nestles beautiful paintings with more than 500 caves that give you an insight about the life of pre historic dwellers with the brilliant and panoramic details. On the route, you will take your lunch. Reach Panchmarhi after some hours of journey and have a relaxed evening. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 16: Panchmarhi
Panchmarhi is considered as the hill station of Madhya Pradesh in Central India. It is a beautiful escape from the routine life and stress. Surrounded by lush forests, breathtaking waterfalls, serene pools, beautiful landscape and quiet glades, Panchamari makes you forget everything and relax in the lap of nature. Take a sightseeing tour in the day. In the evening, you will get the bewildering sight of Dhupgarh. It is the highest point in Satpuras and thus the best place to enjoy the sun rises and sun sets.

Day 17: Panchmarhi to Jabalpur
After breakfast, you leave for Jabalpur with packed lunch from tourist motel Pipariya. Reach Jabalpur and enjoy your dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 18: Jabalpur to Mumbai
Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh in Central India is the natural sight to enjoy the beauty of River Narmada. It is the place where Narmada makes many beautiful waterfalls and one of them is the most highest and visited. Later, you will take transfer to the railway station to board a train to Mumbai. Stay overnight in train.

Day 19: Departure to Mumbai
Reach Mumbai and get transferred to hotel. Get refresh and relax. In the afternoon, you will take a brief tour of the Mumbai city. At the night, after dinner, make departure to airport and board a flight back home or next destination in India.
