Himalaya Tour of India

Duration: 14 Nights / 15 Days

Destinations: Delhi - Leh - Delhi - Jaipur - Agra - Varanasi - Kathmandu

Day 1: Delhi
On the first day of your tour itinerary, you will reach Delhi. Delhi is the capital city of India and one of the most important tourist destinations of India. Your tour assistant will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. You will have your remaining day to relax and geared up for the future excitement of the tour.

Day 2: Delhi
You will take a daylong sightseeing tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. There are many attractions of the city including Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat, Humanyu's Tomb, Cannaught Place, Akshardham Temple and more. You will see the rich monumental, cultural heritage and the modern infrastructure. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Delhi to Leh
In the morning, you will leave Delhi for Leh by air. Reach Leh, one of the highest destinations of India in the north area of India. Get transferred to hotel, get refreshed and acclimatized. Later in the afternoon, you will visit Shanker, Spituk and Phyiang Monasteries. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Leh / Ladakh
Enjoy the serene, dramatic and chilling landscape of Leh. Take a daylong visit to Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Leh / Ladakh
In the morning, you will visit the Stok Palace, Museum and Tibet Handicraft Centre. Have your afternoon time at leisure and enjoy the natural surroundings from the hotel room. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Leh / Ladakh
Take a daylong tour to Alchi and Lichir Monasteries. The landscape of Leh is marked with the monasteries, as it is a Buddhist religious tour destination too. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Leh / Delhi
Leave Leh with its pleasant memories for Delhi by air. You will reach Delhi and get transferred to hotel. Stay overnight in Delhi hotel.

Day 8: Delhi to Jaipur
In the morning, you will leave Delhi to reach Jaipur by air. Arrival at Jaipur and check in the hotel. Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan, the royal state of India. Also known as the Pink City, Jaipur is one of the best loved cities for its regal monuments, forts and havelis. In the afternoon, you will take a sightseeing tour of Jaipur and see Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Wind, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Govindji Temple and more. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Jaipur
In the morning, you will take an excursion to the nearby royal Amber Fort located atop a golden sandy hill, by the side of an azure lake. It is an erstwhile city that was once the ancient capital of the state until 1728. You will take a ride on the well decorated elephant to reach up to the fort. Enjoy the glorious insides of the fort and its splendid architecture. Reach back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 10: Jaipur to Agra
In the morning, you will leave Jaipur for Agra by road. On the route, you will visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, an erstwhile city brought to existence by the Mughal Emperor Akbar near Agra. See Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Dargah of Salim Chishti and more. In the afternoon, you will reach Agra and take a sightseeing tour of the city. Agra is the world famous city and Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The captivating sight of the Taj will win your heart instantly. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Agra to Varanasi
After breakfast, you will leave Agra to reach Varanasi by air. In the afternoon, you will take a sightseeing tour of Varanasi. Varanasi is an important pilgrimage city for the Hindus, located on the banks of the mighty River Ganges. Moreover, it is one of the ancient seats of learning in India. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day-12: Varanasi to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, you will take a boat ride on the peaceful flow of River Ganges. It will be a memorable spiritual experience when you will see the sun rising on one side and melodious tunes of ringing bells and mantras from the temple on one side of the River Ganges bank. Later in the day, you will leave Varanasi for Kathmandu by air. On arrival, get transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu and stay overnight.

Day-13: Kathmandu to Patan
In the morning, you will take a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the capital city of the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. See the attractions of Kathmandu-Boudhanath - the largest stupa in Nepal, Brass and Bronze Museum, Kaiser Library, National Art Gallery, National Woodworking Museum, Pashupatinath, Patan Museum, Swayambunath Stupa, The Central Zoo, The National Museum, The Tribhuvan, Mahendra, and Birendra Museums. You will see Patan, the ancient city that is located about 5 kms in the southeast of Kathmandu. It is also known as the city of fine arts. In the afternoon, you will have your time at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Kathmandu
Early in the morning, you will take an excursion to Dhulikhel to watch the spectacular scene of sunrise in the Himalayan ranges. As you will return, you will visit Bahtgaon city and Boudhnath cities of Nepal.

Day 15: Kathmandu
Leave Kathmandu and move on to the next onward destination of your tour.
